The one with the Jenesys Program

Day 1

The first day of this program began in the Japan Airline's airplane. Its a 7 hours journey to Japan and not getting the window-side seat is not making it easier. It was cool though, since you get this tiny tv-box like thing that enables you to watch movie and such.

Once we reach the hotel, we were given our (5000 yen) from the Japanese Government. Then a "Hygiene + Sex talk" was given by the volunteers. It was funny since they can't really speak English. After that, we went to a vegetarian restaurant to take our lunch.

Anyhow, we went for our sight seeing trip after that. The Narita-san temple.

I think this is some sort of star formation.. mine's the muscular one so figure it out yourself!

We were so into photo taking that we got lost.. the first thing we did was well, take more photos. We finally found our tour guide at the main entrance and then we went back to the Narita Hotel and were given our rooms. I then met my 2 roommates Shayir and Azeem from Malaysia.

The one with the orientation

Day 0

Today is the day.. I woke up early in the morning and left for Jenesys 2008's morning orientation.

I forgot what hotel this is.. but yea this is the place.

After I register, I found my self a seat and it wasn't easy.. Can't imagine what is it like over there? Here's a pic from my dad's hp.

Can't even spot the students huh? This is mainly because all the parents stole the seat =.= There were not enough seat for all the students. I am sitting in the first seat of the second row after the middle partition.

After the parents left, we were given a short speech then divided into our respective groups consisting of 10 students each.

Half an hour later, we gathered into mass to conduct a group ice breaking session. The girl to the left in this picture is Su Yin ( yes Jien, Su Yin ). We then had lunch and done some other crap which is not worth mentioning.

We were also given information about our host family and this is mine.

I will be living in Negoya. The family consist of the parents (duh?), 3 brothers (one of which is my age) and a dog!

Update about what happen tonight in the airport will be done when I get back. If I die.. tell everybody that I will taunt them everynight ;)

The one with the anxiety (one day before departure)

In the morning

Anyone know what are you suppose to do when you face an anxiety attack? Well, especially for this kind of 2-weeks-japan-scholarship-thing that I am going for tomorrow.
I woke up kinda late so our breakfast plan became branch, as normal.

Check out the tv, if you pay enough attention.. You will see a naked beowolf on the screen. The subtitle says " Aku punya besar". Pirated dvd subtitles ftw!

And here's some lifeless people reading the newspaper. Knowledge seeker eh? YA RITE! Alex was reading the comics and Jien (sepet) was reading about a game.

The Afternoon
Didn't have much to do so I remodeled my room. Contacted my sis who is currently staying in singapore to ask her permission to remove her bed from our room.. quote Anngee

The one with the shopping spree

The 1 utama epidsode

Jien Hooi, Lex and I went to 1utama since lex's mom invited us. Our primary aim is non other than stalking hot girls.. but! "note to self" THERE ARE NO HOT GIRLS IN 1U!

After agreeing that it is a futile effort to continue searching, we went to the cinema and decided to watch Madagascar 2. We had an hour to spare before the movie starts. I took the opportunity to shorten my to-get-list for my japan-scholarship-trip-thingy.


I bought this necklace for fun, don't judge me! It's freaking cool! Combination of a cool looking pendant and a kaleidoscope.

Few seconds after we left the shop, I got ambushed by an old bhuddist lady.. She gave me this and asked me to donate some money and guess what? The minimum amount is RM10! I'm bad at turning down old ladies =.=

btw, Madagascar 2 sucks!

The Sunway Piramid Episode

The following day, my parents were nice enough to bring me to Sunway in order to buy more clothes for my trip. It was undeniably fun since it is rare that my parents do not object when I buy expensive clothings.

I ended up with this RM200++ Levis jeans and few others.

I also managed to con them into buying me a new pair of earphones.

The Undang lesson

So yeah, after being infected with severe boredem-titis I have decided to be gay and create a blog.
I am quite lazy right now so I shall just start with my driving theory lesson.

Do you know that before you are allow to take the undang exam, you will need to sit in for a 5 hours long lesson?

This is the classroom. Don't be fooled by the appearance, its actually an airconded shipping container.

Khai Cheng and I went together. We signed for the english class and an english speaker we did get *sarcasm* . I am not being mean.. but i think he's gay. He's quite a plump man in his late 50's. Quote one of his many lame jokes.

Gay man : I use a BMW hit your Kancil ahh.., your kancil already small oh, now it become small small oh.

On this very day, I found another one of my many genetic defects..

Unable to give thumb print-titis

This is what we call a thumb scanner. It is now my number 1 rated worst enemy.

The discovery is first made in the Damansara-driving-theory-place. It took me not less than 10 tries to get the scanner to recognize my thumb.

The Undang exam

1 week later, both Khai Cheng and I decided it's time to take the undang exam. Not because we are ready but because we can't find another suitable date.


The day before the exam, both Khai Cheng and I were doing the sample undang questions. I was showing off because I got higher than her in the trials but ironically, she passed the exam and I failed.

Fyi, it says Jumlah markan 40/50

Markah lulus 42/50

This is what happen in the exam room . There were 4 person in the room including Khai Cheng and I, 2 of them left early. I reading the question.. suddenly, Khai Cheng : Eh Kel, which of this is under the act of road 1988? Anyhow, she pass with 42/50 and I failed. WTF!

Again, I faced problems with the thumb scanning thing. Took me 20+ attempts this time.

The second attempt

Naturally I was devastated and I practiced the whole day. By practising the whole day, I meant sleeping and playing computer games. My hardwork payed off.

As you can see for yourself. I manage to achieve 50/50 and of course, passing the official exam on the second attempt one day after I took the first.
